Campaign description

Volunteer Mauritius which operates under the aegis of the Ministry of youth and Sports, will be organizing the Volunteer Mauritius Academy between Tuesday 10 and Friday 13 April 2018.

Volunteer Mauritius Academy provides training, both practical and theoretical, in the following areas:

  • Fire Rescue Assistance
  • Basic First Aid
  • Police Service Course
  • Waterwise Education
  • Leadership Courses

Only the first 150 applications will be considered in this first edition. Fifty out of 150 participants will be identified to climb Le Pouce Mountain for an activity in the context of the 50th Anniversary of the Independence of Mauritius on Saturday 14 April 2018 in the morning.


  • The Volunteer Mauritius Academy will operate mostly during school holidays
  • The participants will register for only one training course for the full four days
  • A certificate will be awarded to each participants on completion of the training course.
  • The Volunteer Academy will offer only 5 training courses for the April 2018 school holidays
  • Each training class will comprise of 30 participants

  2. Filling an application form in the nearest Youth Centre
  3. Sending a letter to Floreal Youth Centre, Volunteer Mauritius Head Quarters, Royal Road, Floreal.
  4. Send via SMS on 5777 2292, your name, address, age, email and the training course chosen.
